Our Standing Committees are the driving force behind the work and impact of our section. Each committee is dedicated to advancing our mission through focused initiatives, strategic planning, and community engagement. Through collaboration and leadership, our members bring ideas to life, address critical needs, and create meaningful opportunities for service. Finance
The Finance Committee, chaired by the Treasurer, is responsible for overseeing the financial health and integrity of the North Fulton Area Section. The committee includes the Financial Secretary and the Chair of the Ways and Means Committee. Together, they support budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal oversight to ensure resources are aligned with the section’s mission and priorities. The committee also reviews financial reports and supports compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Membership
Chair: Lori Jones
Meeting Day: 2nd Wednesday - 7:00PM
The Membership Committee is responsible for driving member engagement and growth. Key duties include leading recruitment efforts, organizing membership drives, conducting new member orientations, and promoting hospitality. The committee also fosters community through social activities, member spotlights, birthday and achievement recognitions, and provides ongoing spiritual support to ensure members feel connected, valued, and inspired.
Program
Chair: Casey Williams
Meeting Day: As needed
The Programs Committee is responsible for promoting and executing initiatives implemented by NCNW National Headquarters and the State of Georgia NCNW. This committee leads the execution of the North Fulton Area Section’s strategic plan and ensures that all programming is aligned with our mission and vision. Responsibilities include tracking and communicating program impact through timely reporting, evaluating program effectiveness, and measuring community impact. The committee works closely with Committee Chairs to support and strengthen initiatives across all focus areas.
Technology
Chair: Shameka Hawkins
Meeting Day: 2nd Wednesday - 7:00PM
The Technology Committee is responsible for managing the North Fulton Area Section’s digital presence and virtual tools. This includes maintaining and updating the website, managing social media accounts across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and supporting the execution of virtual meetings and events by facilitating Zoom. The committee ensures consistent, timely, and engaging communication that supports the section’s outreach, visibility, and mission.

Nominating
Secures nominations for the 2028–2030 elected officers and ensuring all candidates meet the minimum eligibility requirements outlined in the section's bylaws. The committee also educates the membership on the roles, responsibilities, and qualifications of the various Executive Committee offices, fostering leadership development and encouraging broad participation in the governance and future leadership of the section.
Ways & Means
Chair: Shamika Malone
Meeting Day: 2nd Wednesday - 7:00PM
Leads fundraising, sponsorship, and branding efforts to support the programs and mission of the North Fulton Area Section. This includes planning and executing fundraising activities throughout the year to ensure the financial health of the organization. Ways & Means Committee also identifies potential donors, prepares and submits grant applications. The committee also includes two subcommittees: Women of Purpose Committee and the Branding Committee.
Branding
Chair: Sharon Stokes
Meeting Day: 1st Tuesday - 7:00PM
The North Fulton Area Section NCNW Branding Committee is committed to preserving and elevating the visual identity of our Section by ensuring that our presence reflects our purpose. Our branding ensures that our presence is consistent, our image is intentional, and our legacy is unmistakable. Our appearance is a visible expression of excellence, unity, respect, dignity, and commitment to the mission of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc.
Communications
Chair: Keiraq Garner
Meeting Day: 1st Monday - 7:00PM
Responsible for internal and external communications that increase member engagement, enhance community awareness, and elevate the visibility of the section and its initiatives. The committee oversees social media, website content, event promotions, and branded marketing materials, ensuring all communications reflect NCNW's brand identity and effectively highlight the section's programs and Core 4 priorities.
